Who we are

TalkTok.AI ("TalkTok", "we", "us") is a service for building AI chatbots that answer customer questions from the information a business teaches them. We are based in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

Questions about your privacy: info@talktok.ai.

What we collect

Account information. Your email address and, if you sign in with Google, your name and profile details Google shares with us. Passwords are handled by Google Firebase Authentication; we never see or store your password in readable form.

Content you add. Business details, the training items you write, your settings, and, if you choose to use your own Google AI Studio key, that key (stored to run your chatbot).

Conversations. When someone chats with a chatbot, we store their question, the chatbot's answer, the language and the time, so the business owner can review them. We also keep a list of questions the chatbot could not answer.

Callback requests. If a visitor uses the callback form, we store the name, contact detail and message they type and show them to the business owner.

Payments. Payments are processed by Stripe. We store your Stripe customer ID, plan and billing status. We never receive or store your full card number.

Technical data. IP address, browser type and request logs, used for security, abuse prevention and fixing problems. We also use browser storage for your language and display choices, your sign-in session, and a short-lived session for the home-page demo.

Demo. What you type into the home-page demo is kept only for a short time (about 24 hours) unless you create an account and choose to keep it.

How we use it

To run the service: sign you in, train and operate your chatbot, show conversations to the business that owns the chatbot, and bill subscriptions.

To keep it safe: detect abuse, enforce usage limits, prevent fraud and fix errors.

To communicate with you: verification and password-reset emails, welcome and receipt emails, usage alerts, and an optional daily summary of unanswered questions (you can turn it off in your account or with the link in the email).

We do not sell your personal information and we do not use your content for advertising.

Who helps us run TalkTok (service providers)

Google (Google Cloud, Firebase Authentication, reCAPTCHA Enterprise and the Gemini API): hosting, database, file storage, sign-in, bot protection and generating answers.

Stripe: payment processing.

Brevo: sending emails.

These providers handle data on our behalf under their own terms and security commitments. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.

AI processing

To answer a question, the chatbot sends the visitor's question together with the business's training content to Google's Gemini API and shows the result. Please do not put sensitive personal information (such as health or financial details) into training content, and tell your visitors not to share it with the chatbot. AI answers can be wrong; see our Terms of Service.

Where data is processed

Our providers operate data centers in several countries, including the United States. By using TalkTok you understand that your information may be processed outside your country, where privacy laws can differ.

How long we keep data

We keep account and chatbot data while your account is active. You can delete training items and ask us to delete your account and the related data at any time.

We may keep limited records longer where the law requires it (for example billing records) or where needed to resolve disputes and prevent abuse.

Your choices and rights

You can ask to access, correct or delete your personal information, or withdraw consent, by writing to info@talktok.ai. Depending on where you live (for example under Canadian privacy law or the GDPR) you may have additional rights, and you may contact your local privacy authority.

If you are a visitor chatting with a business's chatbot, the business owner decides how your conversation is used; contact them first.

Security

We use encrypted connections, access controls and signed index files, and limit who can reach data. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.

Children

TalkTok is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

Changes

We may update this policy. When we make an important change we will update the date above and, where appropriate, tell you by email or in the product.
